Lindsay Lohan Off the Hook on Scram Incident But Still Stuck With Her Family
(HMG) – Lindsay Lohan is off the hook on her alcohol sniffing bracelet going off during an MTV Movie award after-party.   It turns out it was a false alarm because tests conducted after Lindsay was court ordered to pee in a cup afterward, showed her to be clean. In other positive news TMZ reports it’s increasingly likely Lindsay will be in full compliance with her alcohol education classes by the next court hearing — July 6, so if she can stay sober it looks like she could avoid jailtime. Sometimes I think it’s Lindsay’s parents that should be locked up for their foolish behavior, not to mention their questionable parenting. The other day Dina Lohan called the cops on a store clerk at Carvel icecream who tried to deny her a freebie. Daughter Lindsay was given the special “Carvel Black Card,” which is a promotion Carvel did last year to try to get famous people to eat their clown-themed ice cream cakes, and she gave it to her mom. Dina, used it so frequently that her local Long Island Carvel outlet tried to confiscate the card, only to have Dina call the cops on them for stealing her property. A bewildered cop made the manager give the card back to Dina, even though Lindsay is the only person who is supposed to be using the card. Carvel issued a statement this morning defending their actions:
Unfortunately, the Lohan family has been abusing the card. While the card was issued in Lindsay and Ali’s names only, their extended family has repeatedly used the card without either present. At first, we graciously honored their requests while explaining that the Black Card was not a carte blanche for unlimited Carvel Ice Cream for the extended Lohan family and friends. After more than six months of numerous and large orders for ice cream, we finally had to cut off the card and take it back.
Dina Lohan reacted badly and called the police to have her card returned. The police responded and did return the card to Dina with instructions not to use it again.
This is an unfortunate situation where certain people feel entitled to use a celebrity’s name for their own purposes. We regret that the Lohan family is upset and hope this matter is put behind us quickly.
