America Ferrera is engaged to longtime director boyfriend

(HMG) – America Ferrera, best known for her starring role on the TV hit “Ugly Betty,” is engaged to marry longtime boyfriend Ryan Piers Williams, her rep confirmed Thursday.  Ferrera recently showed off her new diamond engagement ring at the Edinburgh Film Festival sparking rumors. The 26-year-old Emmy-winner first met aspiring filmmaker Williams at USC, when he cast her in his student film. Ferrera also starred in the films “Real Women Have Curves” and “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.”  Williams currently works for Steven Soderbergh, the director of Ocean’s Eleven. Ferrera left behind her braces-wearing alter ego in April when the ABC series ended after four seasons. She will appear next month in the independent drama The Dry Land, directed by Williams according to IMDb.com.
