John Goodman looking great thanks to slimming effort

(HMG) -  A svelte John Goodman made a grand arrival on the red carpet at the 38th AFI Life Achievement Award honoring Mike Nichols held at Sony Pictures Studios on June 10, 2010 in Culver City, California.  The former Roseanne star turns 58 later this month, and stars in HBO’s new series Treme.  It’s a nice turnaround from when he was photographed walking round Manhattan smoking a cigarette, during the comedy Confessions of a Shopaholic in New York in December 2008. A rather obese Goodman, prompted tabloid The Globe to publish an article about his weight titled  ’400-lb Goodman eating himself to death!’ With the feature speaking  about his friends’ fears that his weight and eating habits were getting out of control.
