Tara Reid’s Wedding Was Called Off Over Prenup Her Former Fiance’s Father Wanted

(HMG) – Back in April, when former American Pie actress Tara Reid had canceled her May wedding to German entrepreneur Michael Axtmann, four months after becoming engaged, there was no real explanation why.  And seeing how Tara’s career has fallen, the tabloids didn’t dig into the situation much. There were some hints though as Michael previously confirmed he and the 34-year-old star had split over “legal reasons”.

But now the father of Michael Axtmann, German tycoon Siegfried Axtmann, has revealed the specifics on why the whirlwind wedding was called off.  Siegfried, who employs his son in his multimillion dollar company which rents out private jets, demanded Michael have Tara sign a prenup agreement which sparked the end of their romance.

“I didn’t want an American court disdaining our family business and have a cuckoo’s egg laid in our nest,” he revealed to German broadcaster RTL Television this week.

Tara apparently balked at signing the prenuptial agreement and the wedding and relationship unraveled.  Interesting that they couldn’t work out a reasonable settlement if they really were so in love?
