Demi Moore[HMG] – Despite the prospect of it being even thinner than some of BP’s excuses, it’s now been confirmed that Demi Moore has sold the rights to her autobiography to the same folks who gave us Sarah Palin’s first book.

Harper-Collins, who published Sarah’s big book of pop-ups in 2009 have now signed a deal to acquire what it calls ‘a candid memoir’ by the 47-year old raspy-voiced star.

The new book – which so far lacks a title – will recount Demi’s life and career, from her birth in Roswell, New Mexico in 1962, through her troubled childhood, past her 13-years with Bruce Willis, and on to her marriage to Ashton Kutcher in 2005.

But Harpers says the whole, air-brushed narrative will be “framed by her complicated relationship with her mother, Virginia King.”

And, as is only fitting, it will be the work of a ghost.

The new tome is scheduled to debut in mid-2012, so let’s hear your views – Would you buy the book? And does it bother you that it’s being published by a firm owned by the firm that owns Fox?…
