“Charlie intends to go to court on June 7 to plead to a misdemeanor and immediately begin serving his time in jail,” a source tells People. “With good behavior, he could end up doing 15 days or so.”

And once the sentence is over Charlie will be free to go — there will be no probation.

The 44-year old actor is also required to complete 36-hours of ‘Anger Management’ classes before Monday’s hearing. But he’s already done 26-hours of that, according to spies.

After the [hotly disputed] dust-up with current wife, Brooke Mueller, 32, at their Colorado home over Christmas, Charlie was charged with misdemeanor third-degree assault, misdemeanor criminal mischief and felony menacing.

That last charge has now been dismissed.

And this has not been Chuck’s year — In February, Brooke entered rehab for substance abuse, with Charlie doing the same thing one week later. The pair have been living in separate homes for over a month, and are now sharing custody of their sons, 14-month old twins, Max and Bob.

But things could be worse — The man his friends know as ‘Chuckles’ has announced he’ll be staying with the tired CBS sit-com for two more years, and that won him a raise — He’ll now grab almost $2-million a show.

And his brief stay in the big-house won’t be a problem — assuming the Judge lets him cop a plea, Charlie should be released well before the next season starts taping in the first week of August…
