Mariah Carey quits film for medical reasons, fueling pregnancy talk

[HMG] – When a female performer who’s under 50 suddenly cancels a job with no reason, some people smell baby powder. And that’s what’s now happening with Mariah Carey.

The 41-year old singer was due to start shooting Tyler Perry’s new film with the short, snappy title, ‘For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf.’

She was all signed up to co-star with Whoopi Goldberg and Janet Jackson, and they’d start shooting next month. Now, suddenly, she’s not. No claims of ‘scheduling conflicts’ or ‘creative disputes’ — She’s just quit.

“She is not doing the movie because her doctor advised her not to,” is all her rep, Cindi Berger, would tell Us. “I cannot comment further.”

And husband, Nick Cannon, 29, is deliberately not helping to dampen the rumors;

“Her schedule is starting to calm down. You never know,” he said vaguely. “In the next year or two, the rumors might come true.”

Clearly happy to let them continue for now, Nick – who recently renewed his vows with the singer – was seen leaving a Los Angeles medical building earlier this month with Mariah in tow.

And again, no explanations.

“We absolutely plan to have a family,” he told reporters last year. “But we’ve got to prioritize, and that’s a major priority. We’re going to do it, and when we do we’ll let you all know, But right now we’re trying to enjoy the newlywed aspect.”

Well, that’s made it no clearer than mud?? So what do you guys all think — Is Mariah an upcoming mommy or not?…
