John Travolta and wife actress Kelly Preston[HMG] – In upbeat and well-deserved news after more than their share of tragedy, John Travolta and Kelly Preston recently announced they’re expecting a child. But it’s now been revealed that Kelly is actually carrying twins.

“They were ecstatic when they thought they were having just one baby,” an insider tells Star. “Now there will be two, they can barely contain their happiness!”

The couple, who already have a ten-year old daughter, Ella, lost their son, Jett, in January of 2009 when he suffered a seizure. They also lost their beloved pet dogs in a freak accident at Bangor International airport in Maine on May 13.

And the source says these two tragic events only made them more determined to expand their brood.

The source says Kelly, 47, recently began in-vitro fertilization treatments, which increase the chances of twins – And it worked! Now in her second trimester, Kelly is already eagerly preparing for the big day.

“She’s having the time of her life looking at all the cute little outfits and toys online!” the insider assures us.

Meanwhile, friends of the pair are already sending good wishes; Kirstie Alley, John’s co-star from the 1989 Columbia comedy, ‘Look Who’s Talking,’ was first off the blocks;

“YAY!!! SOOOOO happy for them!!! YAY!!!” she tweeted to her 696,000+ fans.

And Hugh Jackman, who worked with John in the 2009 hacker-thriller, ‘Swordfish’ was next to applaud;

“I’m thrilled for him. I know John – he’s an amazing dad, so that’s one lucky kid. I’m very, very, very happy for them. Very excited.”

Meanwhile, Lori Laughlin, who co-stars with John and Kelly in their new comedy, ‘Old Dogs’ is equally thrilled;

“Kelly and John are wonderful people. They deserve all the joy this new baby will bring them!”
