‘Glee’ Already Picked Up for a Third Season!

(HMG) – The cast of ‘Glee’ has something new to celebrate! You know you have a hit on your hands when you find you have gotten an early season 3 pick-up, even though the first season of “Glee” hasn’t even concluded and the second season is yet to air. “In just one year, ‘Glee’ has transcended the television landscape and emerged as a global pop culture phenomenon,” Peter Rice, the Fox Networks Group Entertainment Chairman, tells Entertainment Weekly.
When the musical drama chronicling the lives of a group of misfit students at Ohio’s fictional McKinley High School, starring Lea Michele, Jane Lynch, and Matthew Morrison premiered in May 2009, it received around 9.6 million viewers. And now, it has become the No. 1 new scripted series among adults 18-49 and adults 18-34, according to EW. Glee wraps its first season June 8.
