Lake Bell, Hayden Panettiere, Ashley Greene and Rory Culkin to sign for Scream 4?

[HMG] – Following our story on Cougar Town star, Courteney Cox and her intriguing personal life we bring you news that Courteney may be joined in Scream 4 by Hayden Panettiere, who, with Heroes now canceled was in need of a job.

Dimension, the studio responsible for this unending franchise are already casting and plan a July start date for shooting. Wes Craven will once more be at the helm, and Kevin Williamson has provided the script.

Apart from Hayden, Lake Bell, who was Rachel Chapman in HBO’s ‘How to Make It in America’ will also be joining the cast, so will Rory Culkin [brother of 'Home Alone's Macauley,] and ‘Twilight’ alumnus Ashley Greene is also in talks.

This fourth installment of the franchise that rebooted the whole horror genre when it debuted in 1996 will star the usual suspects – Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Courteney Cox. Ashley would then play Neve’s sister, Jill [the film's heroine] Hayden would play Jill’s geeky best friend, and Culkin [now 20] would be Neve’s love interest.

Lake, meanwhile, would be a police officer who knew Neve’s character ‘Sidney’ in high school.

One snag with casting is that Dimension and Wes Craven have decided to hide the script from casting agents to stop the plot being leaked before the film even opens. HV says the actors just get descriptions of what their characters are like. And that makes it tough to decide.

The movie will be shooting in Michigan and is slated to open on April 15 next year. And Kevin is already under contract to write part five.
