Jesse James to give first interview, still pursuing Sandra Bullock?

[HMG] – In the two months since Sandra Bullock reached both her greatest achievement and her deepest despair she and soon-to-be-ex, Jesse James have been mostly apart. But may soon change.

Since the whole sordid scandal began back in March, Sandra has spent most of her time at her home in Texas. Now it seems Jesse is planning to follow her.

The Sunset Beach home which the former pair shared has been up for sale for weeks. In 2009 it was assessed at $3.6- million. It’s now on the market for $5,9995,000. All buyers must pre-qualify and there’s no open house — which is meant to keep the  paparazzi and the clinically nosy away.

Jesse has since made an offer on a home near Sandra, and on Friday the former couple were both spied in Austin, though not as a pair.

This is the same town where they always went to relax during their marriage. Jesse was there with his daughter, Chandler, 15, to visit his custom–car shop, while Sandra went shopping with hew new baby, Louis and dropped by at the West 6th Street restaurant ‘Bess Bistro,’ which she bought in 2006.

So why is Jesse in town? A pal says they know;

“His mind-set is the same as when they split; Jesse feels their relationship has still not reached the final chapter,” they told People. “He is not giving up hope that Sandra will come back to her family.”

You’ll soon be able to judge for yourselves where Jesse’s mind might be lurking — the 41-year motorbike artist has finally broken the surface after weeks filled with rehab and avoiding the press, and is due to give his first interview to ‘Dateline’ on Tuesday.

Talking to ABC’s Vicki Mabrey, Jesse is due to explain why he did rehab, what his role will be in the life of Louis, and most of all — why did he cheat?

It airs Tuesday night at 11.35, and will almost certainly reopen this whole sordid case. Will his girlfriends then emerge to exploit the free press? We shall see…
