Is it mean to hope that Lindsay Lohan goes to jail?

(HMG) – After all it would be for her own good?  If I had any faith in our lax legal system (especially with celebs) Lindsay Lohan would be going to jail very soon.  She was supposed to be done with her alcohol education classes today, but she has three classes left, not to mention they were supposed to be attended each week or else.  But Lindsay is still partying in Cannes, and is skipping a probation hearing today because “her passport was stolen.”

Meanwhile the district attorney wants to arrest her according to TMZ. LiLo has a long list of people to blame for this failure: Object of blame #1: Her alcohol education instructor, who Lindsay says made her “uncomfortable” by “texting that she wanted to hang out with her.” Object of blame #2 (via a Popeater source): Her judge, who Lindsay “thinks is so mean…. I mean, who the hell does that judge think she is, demanding people to show up at 8:30 in the morning? It’s not like Lindsay isn’t busy. She’s an international movie star.”

Judge Marsha Revel will almost certainly issue a bench warrant this morning for Lindsay’s arrest, though it wouldn’t be unusual if the judge gives Lindsay the chance to surrender herself to the court next week.  Judge Revel has given Lindsay  many chances, but the cynical side in me expects miscommunication between the court and the alcohol ed program, which hasn’t enforced the minimum 1 class per week mandate and has reported her in compliance with the program, to allow her to slide once again.  Even if the judge does throw the book at her, it’s a 180 day sentence, which would probably get commuted to a much shorter stay.  Honestly I just wish common sense would prevail, and Lindsay would be forced to submit to spot alcohol sobriety tests, and ordered to submit blood for drug testing once a month.  If she is clean great, if not she goes to jail no questions asked.
