Robert Pattinson looking to play lead role in ‘Kill Your Friends’

(HMG) – Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson wants to sink his teeth into the starring role in the film adaptation of the smash novel ‘Kill Your Friends’, written by former record label man John Niven, and is is campaigning to get the part.  The juicy role would have Pattinson playing fictional sex-obsessed record executive Steven Stelfox working for a label in London in 1997, looking for new bands and pop stars to sign while at the same time fuelling his hedonistic lifestyle, doing drugs, sleeping with prostitutes, and committing murder.

“Rob is a huge fan of the novel – he is fascinated by the music industry and is keen to get involved in the project,” a source told The Sun.

“He’s already approached producers telling them he wants to play the leading man. If he gets the role it would be the darkest part he’s ever played. It’s an incredibly adult character.”

According to Usmagazine, Rob has already made some changes  for his new movie ‘Water for Elephants’, cutting his long hair.

The UsMagazine source, says that the Twilight star’s new cut is short on the sides and longer on top, definitely much shorter than his signature shabby, just-out-of-bed look.
