“Cold Case,” “Ghost Whisperer” among seven series on CBS chopping block

(HMG) – A couple of fairly long series are among the cuts being made by CBS.  The network  is moving aggressively to shake up its 2010-11 season, canceling “Cold Case,” “Ghost Whisperer,” along with “The New Adventures of Old Christine,” “Gary Unmarried,” “Miami Medical” and “Accidentally on Purpose,” according to AP sources. The network has, however, renewed Rules of Engagement and Medium, which it picked up from NBC last year. The cancellations will clear space for newcomers, including William Shatner’s first sitcom, a police drama with Tom Selleck and other shows to be officially announced Wednesday by CBS.
