Jonathan Rhys Meyers banned by United for drinking

Jonathan Rhys Meyers[HMG] – Alcohol has ruined many fine actors, and ‘Tudors’ star, Jonathan Rhys Myers seems intent to be next.

The 32-year old actor has now been banned from flying with United Airlines again after an incident at New York’s JFK Airport.

Sources confirm to Radar that Jonathan was booked on a United flight to L.A. But despite a very early departure time Myers was seen downing several drinks in the airport lounge, becoming increasingly drunk and aggressive.

When he attempted to board the plane he was refused due to “belligerent and disruptive” behavior that was “out of control.”

And this is far from the first time Jonathan’s life has been blighted by drink. In May 2005 he checked into the ‘Promises’ rehab center in L.A. He was back there again in April of 2007. In November of that year he was arrested in his home town of Dublin for being drunk at the airport, but the charges were dropped.

In February of 2009 he entered rehab again, this time in London. He left there in March. Two months later he was arrested for attacking staff in the bar at Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris, and threatening to kill them.

After that altercation even Jonathan seemed aware of his weakness for drink;

“When I do drink I’m like Bambi. I’m all over the place; Hopeless; Like a 16-year-old kid. People notice,” he told reporters.

United Airlines have since confirmed their ban on the actor, but refused to discuss the details, citing privacy laws…
