Larry King and wife #7 cancel pending divorce

[HMG] – After weeks of simmering scandal  and very talkative ‘friends’ it’s been announced that CNN host, Larry King and his seventh wife, Shawn Southwick have called off their divorce.

Larry and his almost-ex filed the divorce on April 14 after thirteen years and two kids, but his rep put out a statement late yesterday that says the 78-year old newsman is now back at home.

“They have stopped the divorce proceedings,” Larry’s spokesman, Howard Rubenstein told ABC. “He has moved back home.”

The divorce papers cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the cause of the split, but it seems the new reboot is all sunshine and roses. [And probably a very nice check.]

“We love our children, we love each other, we love being a family. That is all that matters to us,” the recycled couple said in a statement. “We owe it to ourselves and our children to continue being dedicated to each other. We want to thank our friends for their love and support – for being there for us.”

Larry’s has been married to seven different women, but if this marriage had fallen apart it would have been divorce number eight — He married Alene Akins in 1963, they divorced in ’66, then re-married in ’67 and finally called it off in 1972, during which time they produced two healthy children.

Now, who said the life of a celebrity was ever easy or fun?…
