Alex Rodriguez scared Cameron Diaz may copy Kate Hudson playbook

[HMG] – Back on May 2, Cameron Diaz was spied sneaking out of Alex Rodriguez’ Manhattan apartment, finally proving the two were a pair. But Alex has now told Cameron to stay away from his games.

“He doesn’t want what happened to him and Kate [Hudson] to happen between him and Cameron,” a source told the News. “Kate was at every New York game, and even went to Alex’s game practice. Things got too clingy too fast.”

A-Rod is said to been creeped-out by Kate’s constant presence and her pushy desire to ‘fast-track’ their romance, and they split in December. He and Cam then formed a connection when they met at a Miami Superbowl party in February.

Cam was then spied at the apartment in May, and the next day Alex flew her to Boston to watch him battle the Red Sox. But the pair spent all their time away from the ball game locked in a luxury suite at the Liberty Hotel on Charles Street.

“They arrived by private jet, were whisked to the hotel and had an incredible time together,” said a hotel source.

And another insider says Cameron’s new ban from the ball-park will not be a problem;

“Cameron is not really into baseball, so she wouldn’t want to go,” says the snitch “She has her own career and she’s not going to give that up for anyone. And, right now she’s booked solid. So it works for them both.”

But I see problems ahead — Alex is now on the road with the team in Minnesota, while Cam is still filming “Bad Teacher” with Justin Timberlake in L.A. Then she’s booked for the 2010 MTV Movie Awards on June 6 – when Alex will be in Toronto.

Then Cam starts a hectic promotional tour for her other new film, co-starring Tom Cruise, ‘Knight & Day” – which opens on June 25.

My guess is, all that time apart could cause either one to just call off the game. What do you say?…
