Cameron Diaz spied leaving A-Rod’s apartment

[HMG] – We brought you the news two weeks ago, and now the rest of the world has caught up — Cameron Diaz and Alex Rodriguez look like a rock-solid pair.

The 37-year old actress was snapped leaving A-Rod’s New York apartment complex early Sunday, carrying luggage. She then sped away from the scene in a waiting SUV, thinking she hadn’t been seen.

She was wrong.

And this was the end of a long night which began as the pair dined with Kate Winslet at the Hotel Griffin on Gansevoort Street, in New York’s meat-packing district.

“They all shared a meal and several bottles of French wine,” a hotel source told reporters.

The new couple were also spied together on Friday at ‘The Macao Trading Company’ on Church Street, a highly regarded restaurant which serves a blend of European and Asian cuisines. The 34-year old Yankees’ third baseman got there late, so in a revealing act of romantic indulgence Cameron ordered for two;

“She asked for plain, steamed fish with vegetables,” a source tells Us.

They were joined at Macao by Drew Barrymore. And while spies say the new couple didn’t seem too affectionate there was a rather cute game of musical chairs — Drew and Cameron were sitting together, but Drew moved as soon as A-Rod arrived so he could sit next to Cameron instead.

Now ain’t that sweet?

This low-key romance has been simmering since Cam was spied “grinding” with Alex at a Pre-Super Bowl party in February. But will it last? Both have a fondness for dating, so there could be stormy waters ahead.
