‘Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains Catfight and the Good Guys Lose Again?
(HMG) – Amazing, just as the heroes are once again in position to take control of the game with the help of Sandra, Candace flips. The highlight for many watching this week came as the three reward winners, Amanda, Colby and Danielle watched “Treasure Island” and lounged on a small bed together. Colby was the only one totally into the the TV. Amanda was totally focused on finding the immunity idol clue, but Danielle found it first in their bowl of popcorn and dropped it quietly to the floor to hide it. But Amanda spotted the clue, and a near cat fight was on: Amanda grabbed for it and started to walk away, and Danielle jumped up and confronted her, with the two playing tug of war for the clue. The funny part of the whole scene though was Colby who barely noticed what was going on until the ladies got in the way of the television viewing presumably. Danielle appealed to Colby, demanding Amanda return the clue to her because she found it first. Colby instead of trying to perhaps say they all should share it agreed with Danielle, and Amanda reluctantly handed it back. It didn’t end up doing Danielle much good but Amanda sure could have used the idol.
Kudos to Russell once again, who used the clue Danielle found and took the idol right out from under her nose without her knowing; and then used the idol like a con artist to gain Candace’s confidence and gets her to flip. At camp, Sandra wanted to get rid of Russell by conspiring with the Heroes again. The heroes once again formulated a good plan to vote for Parviti, anticipating that Russell would use the idol (which he did), but Candice decided to stick with the villains and Amanda gets voted off. Not sure why, but Sandra hung in with the Villains and voted for Amanda too. I don’t really see this move getting Candice very far, but the way this game keeps turning no one is assured of anything. I give credit to Rupert this season, particularly the last couple of weeks. In the two previous seasons that Rupert has played I thought he didn’t have a clue to the alliance strategies of the game, but he nearly helped save the heroes twice, except for the better play of Parviti and Russell (the queen and king).  I don’t see the royal court keeping their alliance down to the final 3, so it will be interesting to see who gets rid of whom and when.
