Halle Berry and boyfriend Gabriel Aubry have split and working out joint custody of child

(HMG) – Hard to believe someone so beautiful can be so unlucky in love.  But Halle Berry and her baby daddy Gabriel Aubry have broken up, and it sounds like they are not going to get back together.  RadarOnline believes the couple separated a couple of months ago, but have vowed to remain friends. The 43-year-old actress began dating Gabriel, 34, in November 2005, and they have two-year-old daughter Nahla Ariela Aubry together. Halle has been married twice before, to David Justice and Eric Benet. As both unions ended badly she vowed never to marry again, claiming she and Gabriel didn’t need to wed to know how much they meant to each other.

Gabriel is said to have been the driving force behind the split, after realizing he and Halle had grown apart. “Gabriel just felt it wasn’t working anymore. When they were first together the nine-year age difference between them didn’t phase him, she was the most beautiful woman he had ever dated and he was totally in love,” a source told the site. “But as time went on he started feeling it more and more.”  “Also, Gabriel started noticing other women, and being attracted to other, and he felt it just wasn’t right to stay with Halle in those circumstances.

Halle is said to have already consulted family lawyer Judy Bogen, who has been helping the pair work out custody or Nahla, and how to split their assets.  Gabriel is a successful model, and reportedly hasn’t requested a share of Halle’s money. He did ask for the house the pair bought together in Canada, which Halle was happy to let him have.

“Halle was terrified that Gabriel would go after her money,” the source explained. “But he’s a decent and proud guy and that’s just not his style. Gabriel’s main concern was custody of Nahla, he loves that little girl more than anything, and wanted 50/50 joint physical custody of her, which Halle agreed to.”
