[HMG] – Bret MichaelsRock stars often push themselves to the limit with work, but despite surviving one of the worst brain hemorrhages experts have ever encountered, Bret Michaels seems intent on setting some kind of record.

Bret now apparently plans to be back on the road ‘by the end of next month,’ his rep has told the reporters at Us.

“While Bret is recovering we obviously have some shows that are being rescheduled,” says a post on his web site. “We are now planning to resume the tour on May 26th in Ft. Smith, Arkansas, provided there are no further setbacks.”

Bret also has a tour scheduled with Lynyrd Skynyrd in June and July, and the site claims those plans are also on track.

Meanwhile, Bret’s current condition was upgraded to ‘stable’ by his doctors this week;

“He is responding well to tests and treatments,” says their latest statement. “And even though today was a minor setback, doctors are hopeful for a full recovery and plan to release more information on Monday.”

The latest prognosis says the 47-year old rocker is now at risk of seizures because his body’s sodium levels are low. But this is now being corrected.

“While additional studies are planned to detect the cause of the rupture, Bret will be monitored closely to ensure no further complications occur,” say the medics.

Personally, I think to the idea you can successfully move from the threshold of death to a stage in three weeks is absurd. But as new information arrives on Bret’s condition we’ll keep you advised…
