That 70′s Show’s Laura Prepon bows online show

[HMG] – Like most actors, ‘That 70′s Show’ co-star, Laura Prepon longs to direct, and she’s now got her wish — the 30-year old actress is busy shooting her own online show.

The new series, entitled ‘Neighbros’ stars Laura’s boyfriend, ‘Greek’ actor, Scott Michael Foster [seen here,] and his best friend, real-life neighbor and professional musician, Jaime Jorn in a series of off-the-wall sketches.

“I’ve always had strong aspirations to direct,” Laura tells Popeater. “The three of us were hanging out in front of the apartment, thinking up skits…and ‘Neighbros’ was born. The next day I brought my own equipment to the house and was a one-woman crew. And something just clicked.”

How is each show conceived, Laura was then asked;

“We get together, bounce ideas off one another and write the skits,” says Prepon. “They’re usually about awkward situations that actually happened to us. Our humor is a little off beat, which I tend to love, but people are welcoming us with open arms.”

The trio plan to transfer the show to TV, but as long as Scott is tied up with ‘Greek’ that can’t work. So Laura’s planning a movie, like ‘Tommy Boy.’ And she’s got other shows in the works;

“I just finished shooting a pilot for ABC called ‘Awkward Situations for Men.’ It’s so funny. I’m hoping we get picked up,” she tells the scribes.

The pilot is based on a book by Danny Wallace, who wrote the 2008 Jim Carrey hit, ‘Yes Man,’ so the chances of getting picked up as a series are good. And Laura’s quite stoked at the chance;

“I think we have a really good shot!” she gushes. “Danny plays himself, and I play his wife. We fall in love in London, but when we move to the States he has problems adjusting to American culture. It gets really funny. I’m keeping my fingers crossed we get picked up. I’m really excited.”
