Kim Kardashian divorce papers claim endless abuse
[HMG] – In further proof that even D-list stars should never get married, newly uncovered papers from Kim Kardashian’s failed three-year marriage to music producer Damon Thomas list an endless catalog of abuse and deceit.
Kim, now 29, married Thomas, who is ten years her senior, in a quickie ceremony in Las Vegas, in January 2000, and the court papers, filed in 2003, claim the abuse started almost at once.
The documents, uncovered by the UK’s Daily Mail, list numerous times at which Damon would allegedly punch her, throw her against walls, control all her movements and repeatedly leave her with bruises.
He also demanded that Kim get plastic surgery so she’d be ‘perfect.’
The couple met when Kim was working as a sales clerk in a Los Angeles store, but she claims Damon made her leave so other guys could not get too close.
“He said he did not want me to have contact with my old boyfriends,’ she said. “He also wanted to know where I was at all times. He also told me not to leave the house unless I told him where I was going. Sometimes, he would not let me leave,’ she goes on to claim in the divorce declaration.
Other claims include that Damon would not let Kim visit her family or friends, he’d start arguments at family events and even tried to convince Kim that her mother and sister were ‘evil’.
“He would not allow me to go to the mall alone, or with friends – he didn’t want men to hit on me. He would also not allow me to go to dinner with friends I’ve known since I was a child.”
Another alleged incident happened at her mother’s home when Damon got suspicious about who Kim was calling.
‘He became enraged and punched me,’ she claims. “I thought about calling the police, but decided not to.”
Kim even claims the abuse continued after the pair split in April of 2003. Once, she was retrieving some personal items from their former home and for what was apparently no cause at all, Damon went postal.
“He threw me against the closet,’ she claimed. “Then he held me against the wall with his hands round my neck and threatened to choke me. Then he grabbed me by my hair, put one hand on my back, threw me toward the front door and told me to leave. I got up and ran out. I was frightened.’
But it was Damon – who has worked with artists like Lionel Richie and Pink, and also produced the soundtrack to ‘Dreamgirls’ who filed for divorce. The marriage was dissolved in February 2004, at which time Damon gave Kim a one-time payment of $56,000.
Not surprisingly, Kim, who has just returned from an Australian press tour, has made no statement about this unexplained ‘leak’ of six-year old, self-serving ‘news.’ But she’s currently taking Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo for a road test, and I’m sure we’ll hear plenty more about that….
