Kate Hudson now dating Miami hotel kingpin

[HMG] – With her ex flame, Alex Rodriguez now getting cozy with Cameron Diaz, Kate Hudson was in need of a friend. And reports say she found a close one in Miami.

Kate, 31, is now rumored to be dating hotel owner, Jeff Soffer, who runs the Fontainebleau resort hotel on Miami’s Millionaire’s Row. The Herald reports the couple have known each other for two years, but since Kate split with A-Rod in December their connection has grown and they’ve been dating for just over a month.

And Kate’s snagged a good one this time – Opened in 1954, the Fontainebleau is an unashamed temple to shameless indulgence. It boasts 1500 rooms, 11 ‘Theme’ restaurants and a 40,000 square foot spa, and is widely regarded as the most historically significant hotel in all of Miami.

And Jeff, 42, owns the place.

Reps for the resort are denying the rumors of romance, but the pair have been seen together by numerous sources, so the story seems sound. There are no pictures of them as a couple yet, but Kate’s hardly shy about cameras so once she’s played this for publicity like she did with her ‘boob job’ I’m sure she’ll let a few snaps get out.

But there could be trouble. Jeff is also close friends with Gwyneth Paltrow, and his hotel plays host to numerous parties that are filled wall-to-wall with the girls of Victoria’s Secret, and other hot models. So Kate could be heading for heartache.
