Courtney Love Still Talking Crap

(HMG) – A rose by any other name would smell as sweet, but a hot mess by any other name is still a hot mess.  Courtney Love recently claimed she was returning to her roots replacing her stage name with a new name, which is actually her birthname, Courtney Michelle Harrison.  Proclaiming “Courtney Love is dead,  the Hole singer tells The NME magazine.

“We’ve all decided we don’t like her any more.”
“We love her when she goes onstage, but I don’t need her in the rest of my life,” she added.

Asked how she would prefer to be addressed in the future, the star replied: “Courtney Michelle. The name Courtney Love is a way to oppress me.”

Continuing on, the oppressed also tells NME she was “sick” of answering questions about her marriage to Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain.

“I am not his spokesperson on Earth,” she said.

“I don’t know what he’d be like now, he could be into society girls, he could be into fat girls, he could be homosexual. We don’t know, he died at 27.”

The singer also complained she felt isolated after losing custody of her daughter, Frances Bean, at the end of last year.

“I’m ultimately a widow and a single mother, who’s not even getting to be a mother right now. I am so alone, it’s freaky.”

The 45-year-old is back on the road with her band, Hole, who release a new album, Nobody’s Daughter, later this month.

Great sound bytes but, Courtney’s spokesperson later claimed that the name-change quote was taken “100 percent out of context” by NME. In NME’s defense they ran the quote verbatim, so it was just more Courtney double speak again I guess .
