Ricky Martin inspires major celeb to come out on May 5

mystery man[HMG] – Here’s a blind item of sorts that we’ll have a definitive answer to soon.  When Ricky Martin came out of the closet on March 29 the world was largely unmoved. But now uber-gay PR guru, Howard Bragman says another high-profile celeb is slated to come out on May 5.

No-one’s saying who it is at this point, but Mr/Ms. X is not just coming out, they’re going on a nationwide tour! There’s an exclusive interview with People already booked, and the chat shows are standing in line -  Mr/Ms. X will be on ‘The View,’ plus Joy Behar’s own show on CNN’s ‘Headline News,’ and several more.

“In Hollywood, most publicists keep their clients in the closet,” Howard tells Qweerty. I’m the guy people come to when they want to come out.”

In the past, he’s helped former ‘Party of Five’ star, Mitchell Anderson to come out, plus ‘Married with Children’s Amanda Bearse and Dick Sargent from ‘Bewitched.’ He also guided Chas Bono in his announcement of transition to manhood and even helped Meredith Baxter come out on a cruise.

And someone with those skills doesn’t raise all this fuss for some dork from the D-list, so the new name could be big.

Howard made his name – and most of his money – from running a major PR firm, and his 2008 book “Where’s my Fifteen Minutes’ is a strong seller at Amazon, so the man knows his stuff. The book even has a whole chapter about coming out.

Hollywood exerts fearsome pressures on gay stars to stay in the closet, and Howard says his top-secret star will help solve that. He also says the world will soon have its first gay action hero. And you can guess who’ll be right at their side.

So who will it be on May 5? Queen Latifah? Ryan Seacrest? Johnny Weir…maybe Oprah? We have no clue, so you take a guess…
