NFL Commissioner to suspend Ben Roethlisberger up to 6 games

Ben Roethlisberger(HMG) – Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger of the Pittsburgh Steelers will be suspended for four to six games for violating the National Football League’s personal conduct policy, according to ESPN.  NFL commissioner Roger Goodell’s expected decision will reportedly contain conditions allowing Roethlisberger to return earlier, based on behavior and compliance with clinical evaluators.  Last month Last week, prosecutors decided not to charge Roethlisberger, after a 20-year-old college student accused the athlete of sexually assaulting her in a Georgia nightclub, last month.  But Commissioner Roger Goodell’s verdict will reinforce a message that NFL players will be held to a higher standard than the law.  ESPN’s Adam Schefter also reports that the Steelers have begun contacting teams to trade Ben Roethlisberger for a top-10 pick.
