(HMG) – Mariah Carey’s reputation for demanding to be lavished in constant splendor took a mixed turn today.   On the one hand husband Nick Cannon will be expected to marry Mariah about once a year for life. Mariah and Nick are set to tie the knot for the third time on April 30, which is their two-year wedding anniversary.  “We get married every year! That’s our thing,” Cannon explained to UsMagazine at Monday’s PepsiCo Feed America Volunteer Day event in NYC.  Cannon will also cough up another diamond ring for the occasion (maybe it will come out of his allowance?).  Mariah, 40, and Nick, 29, got married for the first time on April 30th in 2008 after knowing each other for a few weeks.

On the other hand, Mariah appears to have eased off on her backstage demands these days, a little bit).  Thesmokinggun several years ago, found her concert backstage demands included a bottle of Cristal Champagne, bendy straws, and tea made with a specific brand of mineral water.

But a new backstage clause, also obtained by Thesmokinggun, reveals a simple list of requirements at her gigs, including three bottles of chilled Chardonnay, a variety of soft drinks, fruit and cheese platters and low-fat pretzels.

The most lavish demands in the documents are two vases of white roses, Jo Malone candles, and furniture in plain colors: “no busy patterns, black, dark grey, cream, dark pink are all fine.”

Mimi also stipulates “no busy patterns” backstage at her concerts, the room temperature “should be about 75 degrees” and “a lamp or clip light” in her backstage bathroom so “harsh lighting can be turned off”.

The rider only includes three requests for her band’s dressing room, a bowl of fresh fruit, a can of mixed nuts and one bowl of tortilla chips.

Mariah has most recently been touring the US West Coast with her Angels Advocate show.
