Lindsay Lohan drowning in $600,000 of debt

[HMG] – In further unwelcome proof that her career is nearing its end, it seems Lindsay Lohan is sinking in debt. Nightclubs don’t want her, her credit cards are maxed out and she came within days of losing her home.

We reported a few weeks ago that friends were saying Lindsay, 23, was almost flat broke. She denied this, of course, but the NY Post Page Six is reporting the diminishing starlet is close to drowning in credit card debt.

“Lindsay owes credit cards $600,000,” one source reported. “One card cut her off last week and it’s only a matter of time before all the others cut her off too.”

The root of the problem is lack of work – Her last movie, 2009′s unbearably dismal ‘Labor Pains,’ went straight to DVD. And LiLo’s other cash-cow – personal appearances – has also dried up. She used to be spoiled for choice on which clubs to attend, but now gets very few offers and is lucky to make $5-10,000 per gig.

As if all that weren’t bad enough, her landlord recently delivered a final demand for two months of overdue rent. It cost her $23,000 to avoid being homeless.

But the worst of her problems is all that overused plastic:

“One credit card company is going to discuss a payment plan for Lindsay,” says the source. “But if she can’t make her payments, they are prepared to sue her.”

And if they did, something tells me LiLo [and her enabling mother] would make publicity from that, just as she has with everything else that’s gone wrong.
