Grace Jones Thinks Lady Gaga is Copying Her Style
(HMG) – While the world has gone gaga over the lady, Grace Jones has revealed that she isn’t much of a fan of Lady Gaga. The two singer’s have been compared, in part to their common love of costume, shock value and controversy. Jones, 61, revealed that she turned down an invitation to work with Lady Gaga because she believes the singer isn’t original. In an interview with the UK Guardian newspaper, Jones was asked what her thoughts were about Gaga. Grace responded by saying “I really don’t think of her at all. I go about my business.”
Asked if she had ever asked to collaborate with her.
“I just don’t play with other acts as a rule,” she said.
Asked again if Lady Gaga had ever asked to play with her, Jones replied: “Yes, she did, but I said no.
“I’d just prefer to work with someone who is more original and someone who is not copying me, actually.”
Grace continues:
“Well, you know, I’ve seen some things she’s worn that I’ve worn, and that does kind of piss me off.”
Lady Gaga is currently on the Japanese leg of her Monster Ball world tour.
This is so stupid, Lady Gaga is completely ORIGINAL and she has her own ideas, she doesn’t steel them from has-been pop singer. It is really dumb to even compare the two because everyone knows Lady Gaga is better.
Lady Gagas style is way better than Grace Jones! At least Gaga can pull it off!!!

Nice, Miss Jones–diss an artist who is one of your fans. I borrowed The Fame from a co-worker to see what the fuss was about and came out a believer! Both The Fame and The Fame Monster are what was once known as five cuts deep (consecutively great tracks) You should be honored that she even acknowledges your career, considering you haven’t had an international hit since before she was born and I was in my teens.
BTW in re performing and appearing in outrageous costumes, as I’m old enough to remember, I don’t recall the fabulous Cher jumping all over your s**t over your costume style–and she could have!
