Luke Wilson called ‘a diva’ for AT&T spots
[HMG] – Many great actors are said to be divas. The less talented ones get their friends to ‘leak’ that they are to gain more attention. Luke Wilson’s on-set behavior with AT&T is one of these things.
The 38-year old Texan’s performance in the AT&T ads is well-liked by viewers, but his performance in making these ads is leaving some people upset. The younger brother of Owen Wilson – from ‘Marley and Me’ – Luke is said to hate making the ads, and has now gained a reputation for being a diva on-set.
“Luke was awful during the filming,” says one crew member. “He would even talk back to the Director. He refused to say lines and wanted them re-written. He kept saying, ‘I would never say that, and I will not say that!’ The crew were all shocked.”
Another [unproven] claim is that Luke will not share the camera:
“Luke will not shoot scenes with other actors,” the source dishes. “So stand-ins are used and the scenes are edited together to make the commercials work.”
In this continuing torrent of scourging complaint, another source tells Fox the world of commercials has irreparably changed;
“Everyone misses the old days when they didn’t have a ‘name’ doing the spots,” we are told. “Luke’s made the filming so unpleasant, people dread working with him. He’s annoyed that he has to do commercials to make money, and he makes the experience miserable, because he’s miserable,” is the claim.
So far, Luke’s reps have said nothing – which is a worrying sign; If all this was untrue they’d deny it at once. A strong reason for silence could be they know this is part of the hype, and therefore they cannot complain.
You’ve all seen the spots, so what’s your opinion?…
