Lindsay Lohan – Dead celebrity walking?

[HMG] – As Lindsay Lohan continues her relentless campaign for global attention it’s being reported that several major news outlets have already written the 25-year old’s obituary in case she succeeds.

“We all scrambled when Brittany Murphy and Heath Ledger died, and we don’t want that to happen again,” a senior producer at one source told Popeater.

The Associated Press, which supplies more than 6,000 media outlets worldwide with news, is also thought to have her obituary on file. But when asked to confirm this, their rep was evasive;

“The AP does not talk about its internal editing or reporting plans,” was the only response.

Never believe anything until it’s officially denied…Then [9.9 times out of ten,] you can bet the farm on it.

And you can see why the media might play it safe — People close to the faded actress are not the only ones who fear an oncoming cliff-edge; Even some members of the LAPD, who have to deal with her messes almost daily have considered drastic action to apply the brakes.

Several Police officers say they’re getting concerned by Lohan’s “erratic behavior and attitude.” Both of which have grown far worse recently. Some have even talked about putting Lohan under a ’5150 hold.’

[FYI - Section 5150 of the 'California Welfare and Institutions Code' allows a Police Officer to place someone under involuntarily confinement because they represent a risk to themselves and/or others, due to a mental disorder.]

Evidence? Bags of it…Oooh, sorry — bad choice of words.

On Tuesday last week LiLo fell into a cactus while trying to avoid paparazzi — and loudly blamed them. On Saturday she was snapped leaving her other friend’s house, with clouds of unidentified white powder bursting forth from her shoes. And this was after she’d attended the 32nd birthday party of Perez Hilton – who has relentlessly and deservedly mocked her for months.

And let’s not overlook the ludicrous and unsupportable stunt of a $100-million lawsuit against E-Trade.

Be honest — If you ran NBC News, wouldn’t you have something in draft form at least?…
