White House Crashers The Salahis Confirmed For “The Real Housewives Of DCâ€
(HMG) – In another case where outrageous inappropriate behavior seems to be the ticket to getting a reality TV show, White House party crashers Tareq and Michaele Salahi appear to be set to crash a living room near you. The social-climbing Virginia couple used their White House gate-crashing escapade last November to raise their profile, with the side-effect that their prank ultimately cost presidential Social Secretary Desiree Rogers her job. But that’s part of social climbing right?
The were last seen refusing to answer questions from members of a House panel about how they got into President Barack Obama’s first State Dinner. The couple remains the subject of both federal and state investigations, which complicates whether Bravo will be able to go through with their plans, so no official casting announcement has been made. But for now, they’re on the show, as first reported by the Daily Beast, which said the Salahis will soon be filmed for the show’s opening credits along with other cast members. Bravo cameras were on hand as the Salahis arrived for that ill-fated White House event, and the couple has now been fully embraced as the focal point of the series, expected to premiere in July.
It’s funny, because NO respectable women in DC would be on this show…only fame whores. And that is exactly what the Salahi’s are… If you look at all the most powerful women in DC – they would NEVER be on a show like this. There is nothing special about Salahi, only some money, but that’s it.
