(HMG) – Dennis Hopper showing the effects of his battle with prostate cancer and messy divorce war with his fifth wife Victoria Duffy, was honored Friday in Hollywood receiving his star on the Walk of Fame. Dennis who has recently taken a turn for the worst in his battle with cancer, is said to be terminally ill and a frail 100 lbs. Hopper’s lawyer, has said that the actor is too weak to participate in a deposition for a divorce case with his wife. Friday’s appearance, however, was approved by Hopper’s doctor, who described the ceremony in court documents as a positive experience for the actor. Hopper was helped up to the stage by aides. Friends like Jack Nicholson and Viggo Mortensen turn up to watch as Dennis surrounded by his family (that’s his daughter Galen above) thanked the crowd and also explained that the bandages were the result of a recent fall.

“I want to thank the paparazzi,” he began, “because yesterday I got up — I’ve been working for this day, to look as good as possible to look as strong as possible.”

He explained that when leaving his house on Thursday, he heard someone yell his name. He thought it was a friend but it was actually the paparazzi. When he turned around, he lost his balance, falling directly on his face due to lack of “muscles,” he said.

“So I got pretty screwed up,” he said. “Anyway, I know you have a tough job, but sometimes maybe you ought to be a little more sensitive.”
