Bachelor, Jake Pavelka’s ex calls TV romance a sham
[HMG] – With their romance now dead and the show off the air, the ex-girlfriend of ABC’s latest star of ‘The Bachelor’ is making yet another attempt to get her fifteen minutes.
Tanya Douglas, 24, claims her former boyfriend, Jake Pavelka is ‘obsessed with fame,’ only did the show for the money and even tried to get her on the show.
Douglas met the 32-year old pilot on a flight to Asheville, North Carolina, in July of 2008. He got a flight attendant to slip her a note with his phone number and it started from there. But she claims Jake is now all about fame;
“I don’t think he has any idea what he wants, except to be on TV,” Douglas tells the Post. “If staying with Vienna Gerardi means more TV time, he might stay with her.”
Douglas and Jake were together until Jake got his TV debut on ‘The Bachelorette’ in 2009, then reconnected when he was dropped from the show. But – so Tanya now claims – he took off again as soon as ABC picked him for last season’s Bachelor.
As for her claim that Jake tried to get her to compete so they would be rich, Tanya is clear;
“Then it’s rigged for me the whole time,” he apparently told her. “And in the end we can still be together and have the money.”
Despite being a breach of ABC’s rules, the former pair went on texting and calling each other until late December, at which time things got tricky as the media found out about their connection.
And can you guess who might have told them?
“Tanya, the media is not our friend,” Jake supposedly said in one message. “You ought to protect yourself by telling everyone, ‘No comment.’”
With the show done, Jake and his new lady — 23-year old Vienna Gerardi — have moved to Los Angeles and are still together and reportedly happy. Jake, who is now taking a spin on “Dancing with the Stars, has since said his romance with Douglas “simply did not work out,” and was dead before the show even started.
But Tanya’s so deep in her role as the wronged little victim she still won’t let go;
“Vienna is being lied to,” she now warns. “The person Jake is on TV is a different person than when he was with me.”
That’s probably right — On TV he looks happy…
Jake by the way recently revealed to HTV cameras that he and fiancée Vienna Girardi, plan on having his Dancing With the Stars pro partner Chelsie Hightower choreograph their wedding dance. “She’s going to plan the dance, our first dance,” the reality star discloses.
This article is exactly why JERKS like Jake get away with this kind of behavior. You automatically assume Tanya is looking for fame. If the story is true seems like Jake is the bigger GOLD DIGGER here. But typical of most air-head women you dismiss this because JAKE is CUTE. If we girls would stick together and reveal these a—holes rather than think we can rehabilitate them the WORLD would be a better place. Let’s see if you’re as compassionate when your husband or BF or whatever is dishonest with you……NO CONSEQUENCES. We are all responsible for the dishonesty in relationships today!! You miss the bigger picture, if these two even had a relationship up to when he left for the BACHELOR then HE DEFINITELY is a FRAUD. Couldn’t get a date in high-school JERK!!! Go Tanya reveal to the world who HE REALLY IS!!!! I should add $500,000 is a huge amount of money to walk away from……. I consider VIENNA BOUGHT
What Jake should have said to Tanya is “The media is not my friend.” it shows that Jake knew in all probability that he didn’t want this story being leaked. That would expose him for what we’re seeing is his true character.
This Tanya is delusional. a mental case. she is the sham one the fake one. She can’t accept the fact that she is now ancient history! She want to hang on to Jake’s coat tail and capitalize on Jake’s popularity. Jake is already popular when he joined the Bachelorette Show. ABC offered him to be the Bachelor and he accepted. Now he is on Dancing With The Stars because AbC offered it to him. He didn’t asked for it They offered to him and he accepted the challenge. He worked hard for it and he deserve a paycheck. People get a grip. picked up Life & Style today. Still no proof everything Tanya showed them was before the Bachelor. The phone she’s holding in her hand has no name. It’s prop for the story. At the end of the day this girl needs to move on. You can’t force someone to want you. Even the photo she submitted of her and Jake looks photo shopped. Jake is just not that into her. Not enough to want to get married to her. Show us the proof that Jake contacted her after the taping of the Bachelor. you are now ancient history or just a lovely memory. Deal with it and leave Jake and Vienna alone. You are looking like a fool. IMO.baby.too
To marylou: You’re really upset with Tanya, aren’t you? On another siting stuperman even suggested you were Vienna. She was with Jake longer than Vienna has been. We’ll all wait and see how far this relationship goes once DWTS’S ends. it’s just the media reporting and no sense getting so worked up over it.
no! I am not Vienna. I am not related to her in any way.I am a Loyal Jake Fan.I became his Fan because Jake remind me so much of My Son in law who is a true gentleman, the same upbringing like Jake who also come from all Doctors family. My daughter is happily married for years now. I’ve never heard a harsh words spoken towards each other all the years they are married. I support Jake in his choices and decision and I will stick up for him especially Vienna no matter what happens. I pray to God That Jake and Vienna will have a long and happy marriage and they will be blessed and prosperous whatever their hands find to do. and I also pray that bad Karma do not bite them on the ass one day to those who bashed and trashed Jake and Vienna because you reaped what you sowed. It will comeback to you one way or the other. and that is the truth. IMO. Toodles!
