Christian Slater to take 3rd crack at TV series

ChristianSlater[1](HMG) – Perhaps the third time in three years, will be the charm for Christian Slater and TV stardom.  The successful movie star has had two recent tries at TV, with the short-lived My Own Worst Enemy and the faltering The Forgotten. But the 40-year-old actor has booked the final lead role on FOX’s Security, a comedy pilot about a group of geniuses who crack security systems, according to the Hollywood Reporter.  Slater, who also serves as producer of the Adam Goldberg comedy pilot, will play Oz, the curmudgeonly leader of the renegade group, who is described as “a gruff ex-military misanthrope with a checkered past.”   Also joining in the pilot is Trevor Moore, who will be the head of reconnaissance.  Perhaps an action-comedy venue will be the perfect formula to keep Christian on TV for a while.
