Rosie O’Donnell Talk Show Returning To Daytime TV To Replace Oprah Winfrey?

Rosie_o_donnell(HMG) – Comedian Rosie O’Donnell is set to return to syndicated daytime television, according to news reports. Rosie, who has both hosted a syndicated talk show and co-hosted ABC’s “The View” will try to fill the void left by Oprah Winfrey starting in the fall of 2011, according to on Showbiz411′s Roger Friedman.  Rosie has teamed with two powerful allies to get her show back on the air.  Dick Robertson now a consultant, but who was president of Warner Bros. Domestic TV Distribution for 17 years, and helped oversee Rosie’s first syndicated show which ran for 6 years.  And Scott Carlin who most recently served as head of HBO Domestic Distribution until he left last June, was also part of the team at WBDTD that launched “The Rosie O’Donnell Show.” He worked at the studio under Robertson for nearly two decades until leaving in 1999.
