Former Alias Star Michael Vartan Announces Engagement

(HMG) – Michael Vartan aka Michael Vaughn of TV’s Alias is engaged to Lauren Skaar, his rep tells PEOPLE Magazine. The 41 year –old actor and his 2o something year-old girlfriend (photo below) have been dating for around a year and plan to marry next year. The couple met last year at a Whole Foods parking lot in L.A., and got engaged two weeks ago in New York. This will be the first marriage for both.
Skaar is a 2006 graduate from U.C Santa Barbara and now works in Marketing and Advertising. Vartan, who once famously dated his Alias co-star Jennifer Garner, currently stars opposite Jada Pinkett Smith in the TNT original series Hawthorne. Season two begins this summer.
Actually, I read on another blog that she’s 29. It seems to me someone just assumed her age, based on when she received her B.A. in 2006.
