Katherine Heigl spices up acceptance speach with clothing malfunction

(HMG) – Avoiding the usual ho hum acceptance speech, Katherine Heigl accidentally added some extra excitement as a strap broke on her her poppy red dress. Receiving a Best Actress award in Las Vegas late Thursday, Heigl came within a whisker of exposing her breast, but with the lightning-fast reactions of a top goalkeeper, Katherine grabbed hold of her broken dress as it rapidly headed south. Her wardrobe mishap occurred as she took the stage to collect her Female Star of the Year prize at ShoWest’s Final Night Banquet and Award Ceremony. Host Billy Bush in the photo above, performed some emergency services, holding the strap in place as Katherine spoke. After exiting the stage, Heigl was able to find a pin to secure her dress in place as she stepped out to the press room with her award.
Explaining why the Knocked Up star was picked for the honor, event official Robert Sunshine said: “Her ever-present charm and innate talent have made Heigl’s transition from TV screen to silver screen seemingly effortless.
“Her comedic timing and flair for acting are showcased in each of her roles and have captivated audiences around the globe.”
Were not sure why Heigl has recently gone brunette, but we hear she is she is back on the set of Grey’s Anatomy character, as Dr. Isobel Stevens, despite the recent rumors that she was off the show for good.
