Courtney Love makes nice with Ed Norton gives her side on restraining order with daughter
(HMG) – I find it strange that these two were ever romantically involved but Courtney Love once told POP magazine back in November 2006, that her one true love was actor Edward Norton.
She explained at the time, “He’s been more of a daddy to Frances than Kurt ever was.”
Most recently the often delusional Love, who dated Norton in the 90s after costarring in “The People vs. Larry Flynt,” decided Ed owes her $300,000, and threatened (on Twitter where she often rants) to get the FBI involved if he doesn’t give her the money. Now just a few weeks later Love is making nice with Norton. Love has now said that she was “wrong” and that he actually tripled her money.
“I feel very bad,” Love tells the NY Daily News: “I have the greatest respect for Edward. He could be the President of the United States. I could be his drug czar – ha, ha.”
Love says Norton also has been a “force of good” in serving as an informal communicator and mediator between her and 17-year-old Frances, whom a restraining order bars Love from speaking to. Love also seems to confirm that part of the restraining order had something to do with domestic abuse, but claims she was basically the victim and set up after a donnybrook at their Tribeca apartment.
“I was talking on the phone,” recalls Love. “Frances came out of my room. She was hysterical. First she was crying at my legs, saying, ‘Why was I born?’ Then she bites and scratches and pulls on my hair. She punched me.”
A source who says she witnessed the confrontation corroborates that Love “never hit Frances. Not one time. All the punches were coming from Frances.”
Love says, “I grabbed her with both arms. That left a bruise and she took a picture of her bruise.”
Love also claims there is a vindictive aspect to the restraining order. Frances is represented by Geraldine Wyle, who is also the attorney for Britney Spears’ father, Jamie, in Brit’s guardianship case. Love suspects Jamie convinced Wyle to retaliate against Love after Love claimed that a female member of the Spears family had told her Jamie had molested her.

I hope they make-up. She loves her daughter and they have both had complicated lives. It makes me sad when people bad-mouth Courtney. She does and says some “outrageous” (many times ballsy and honest in my opinion!!) and controversial things, but she doesn’t deserve some of the harsh harsh words I’ve read from people who don’t even know her past what they hear from the media. There was an article about something Courtney said that pissed some people off and the lady who wrote it said at the end, “Even her own daughter wants NOTHING to do with her!!”. I thought that was pretty mean. I don’t trust everything I hear out there. Anyone who does believe every little thing that’s reported needs to take a look at the source and it’s motivation. Well, anyway, I hope things work out for Courtney and Frances.
