Sean Penn allegedly kicked out of Oscar Party for confronting Robin Wright’s boyfriend

(HMG) – Two-time Academy Award winner Sean Penn was allegedly kicked out of last night’s annual Governors Ball shortly after the ceremony at the Kodak Theatre had ended. The Milk star apparently had some sort of backstage confrontation with one of the Oscar-winning producers of The Hurt Locker, Greg Shapiro, according to E!Online columnist Marc Malkin’s sources.

Shapiro, 36 is rumored to be dating Penn’s former wife Robin Wright, 43.  Earlier in the day Malkin himself spotted Wright and Shapiro looking very much like happy couple  canoodling over breakfast while reading the Los Angeles Times together.

Penn’s rep insists there was no confrontation and that the actor chose not to stop by the Ball.

Update: While we love the drama, after making some calls it seems like Penn’s spokesperson was telling the truth about his client not stopping by the Ball.  It is still nice to get some confirmation though that Robin Wright has moved on and has a boyfriend.
