Tiger Woods’ caddie Steve Williams denies he knew of affairs

[HMG] – Despite all the noise of press speculation and public outcry aimed at his boss, Tiger Woods, the man closest to him, Steve Williams, his caddie, has not said a word…Until now.
Giving his first, and probably last interview on the subject to New Zealand TV, Steve made it clear all the gossip was wrong – Tiger was acting alone.
Calling the scandal ‘the most difficult time of my life,’ Williams told the reporters he was tired of the widespread suspicion that he knew Tiger was cheating, and that he even arranged the affairs;
“Every single person believed I should know, or had something to do with it. I knew nothing, and that’s my answer. I don’t need to clarify it or extend my answer; I knew nothing.” he bluntly explained.
Steve was then asked if he was mad at his friend?
“”I wouldn’t say I’m mad, I’m disappointed that he’s let his family down. I’m close to his wife and he’s got two lovely children and he’s let them all down.”
But after eleven years as Tiger’s assistant, Steve refuses to resign or turn on his friend;
“I stand by Tiger as a friend. I don’t talk to him about what’s happened. We talk about the future and what we’re going to accomplish and how we’re gonna get over it. I think life is a case of, you’re gonna bounce from your mistakes. So let’s hope we can do that,” he said.
So Steve clearly believes Tiger can get back to work and resume his dominant position in sports?
“Tiger’s major asset is his mental strength and he’ll need it all to get over this; No question about it,” he replied. “I’d like to see him get back on the PGA tour, so that’s my role right now.”
The next big date on that tour is the ‘Arnold Palmer Classic’ on March 18. Could, or should that be Tiger’s return? Let’s hear your votes…
