Kate Moss to dance ballet with Sex and the City co-star Baryshnikov

[HMG] Best known for her time on the catwalk, Kate Moss now has a new goal in mind — The 36-year old British model is training to dance ballet with Sex and the City co-star, Mikhail Baryshnikov.

The 62-year Russian legend is developing a short, ballet-themed film with renowned choreographer Michael Clark, and Kate is now in training to dance at his side.

The film — tentatively called ‘BarishniMoss’ – is due to start shooting next July in Marseilles, so Kate has begun a grueling three-months of training, while also taking ballet lessons from Clark  And this should mean no more wild parties;

‘Kate has to be fit, healthy and looking good, so her heavy partying has to stop,” a source told the Mail. “The movie will be made for them so she doesn’t have to be a ‘Prima Ballerina,’ even though she is taking classes.”

Mikky, however, has rather more flair; Dancing since the age of 12, he began his professional career with the Kirov Ballet in Leningrad at the age of 19, defected to Canada while on tour at age 26, became a US citizen at 38, then founded the Baryshnikov Arts Center on West 37th Street in New York in 2006.

Kate, meanwhile, has worn other people’s odd clothes.

But the new film might be her chance at redemption;

‘In Mikhail’s eye, the movement of the camera dances already.” explains the insider. “It will be an extremely interesting collaboration and the film will be the result of their dance.”

The plan is to show the result at a fund-raiser, then install it in an art gallery so legions of visitors can admire the results.

I say Kate and Mikky should also show off their style on ‘Dancing with the Stars.’ Who’d vote for that?…
