Aerosmith summer tour announced with Steven Tyler on board

(HMG) – Amid rumors other singers were being approached to tour with the band, there seems to be a happy outcome for Aerosmith’s fractured family. Aerosmith has been in limbo since Tyler fell off a stage during an August concert, injuring himself and forcing the band to cancel the rest of their summer tour. Tyler’s erratic behavior left his bandmates puzzled as to his intentions on staying with Aerosmith, and it quickly came to a highly publicized head, with the lead singer heading to rehab to fight an addiction to painkillers. Steven has since expressed a desire to return to the band, and that’s what has happened.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers have announced a European summer tour — with Steven Tyler. The announcement was made via a video post on the band’s Web site Wednesday. Tyler was sitting with the rest of the band and joked: “I just auditioned and I got the gig.”
