National Enquirer accuses Matthew Fox of carrying on secret affair

(HMG) – Lost star Matthew Fox who plays Dr. Jack Shephard on the hit ABC series, recently shocked fans with the announcement that he plans to quit acting at least for a while, to focus on his family when the series is over.  But he now is in the cross-hairs of a potential scandal, as Fox’s devoted family man reputation is being questioned by the very same tabloid that blew the lid off the John Edwards and Tiger Woods scandal.  The National Enquirer claims Fox  has been carrying on an affair for months, with a 26-year-old stripper he met at a strip club in his native Oregon last year.

Accuser Stefani Talbott says she felt sparks with Fox after dancing for the celeb at the Stars Cabaret club in Bend several months ago. The pair have been supposedly hooking up every since.

“Yes, I’ve been having an affair with Matthew Fox. We had sex together.

She also claims to have proof of the affair, though the Enquirer fails to mention whether they have confirmed this evidence:

I’ve kept voice mails and text messages from him,” Talbott confessed to The Enquirer.

While Fox vehemently denies he had a sexual relationship with Stefani, an Enquirer source explains:

“Matthew’s partying is out of control. He’s boozing and carrying on with women. His carousing is at an all-time high.”

I hope the Enquirer is wrong about this, but they usually follow-up on stories like this so we’ll see how this unfolds.

In a recent interview Fox, 43, said that he’s done with TV, and  wants to focus on family:

“I’ve done two six-year shows, about 300 hours of television. I’m done with that.”

“My family will move to Oregon, back to the country I love.  We’re building a house up there and I’ll be closer to my brothers and my mother. Our kids will be closer to their first cousins.”

Doesn’t sound like a guy looking to maintain a partying life style?
