Desperate Housewives ‘Couple: Nicollette Sheridan and Neal McDonough Get New Pilots

(HMG) -   They died together on Wisteria Lane but will be returning soon to the small screen, but this time without each other.  For four seasons, British born-and-raised Nicollette Sheridan played  “Desperate Housewives” man-eater Edie, who finally found her match in Dave Williams (Neal McDonough), her villainous psycho third husband in Season 5.  Both these terrific actors now have new shows in the works, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Sheridan has been cast opposite Paul Kaye as an over-the-top stagemom in a CBS dramedy, premiering this fall. Hines’ semi-scripted presentation, directed by Larry Charles, will have English actor Paul Kaye playing a British lowlife moving to L.A. to reconnect with his daughter, a precocious teen superstar. Sheridan will play the girl’s outrageous stage mother and the deadbeat dad’s long-lost love.

Meanwhile, Neal McDonough, will star opposite Virginia Madsen on ABC’s dramedy series “Scoundrels.”  McDonough, will play the scam artist husband of a criminal family matriarch, played by Madsen, who is thrown in jail. Based on the New Zealand series Outrageous Fortune, the comedic drama will follow Madsen’s character and her attempt to go straight.
