Scrubs star, Donald Faison to quit show for Las Vegas
[HMG] – Donald Faison, best known to Scrubs groupies as Dr. Christopher Turk is leaving the show.
The 35-year old New Yorker has played the good Doctor since the show’s first season in 2001, but has now been cast as a Las Vegas Police Officer in a new CBS comedy pilot, ‘The Odds.’
Set in the neon-filled heart of Sin City itself, the new show will co-star Don as a homicide detective in what’s described in the CBS handouts as ‘a buddy-cop comedy,” involving two detectives whose lives are “almost as wild as the crimes they investigate.”
There’s no word yet on who his co-star Detective will be.
But TV Guide says Don’s new role will not affect the self-confessed Star Wars fanboy’s appearance on this season of the ABC hit — those shows are already done. The bad news is, Scrubs is up for renewal in May and insiders say the chances of another season are slim.
What do you think, guys? — If Scrubs does get renewed will you miss him?
