Alec Baldwin Briefly Hospitalized After Daughter Calls 911

(HMG) – Alec Baldwin was reportedly rushed to a New York City hospital last night .

The caller believed to be his daughter, 14-year-old Ireland Baldwin, was concerned because her dad  was “unresponsive.”  When police and medics arrived at Baldwin’s Central Park West apartment, he agreed to be taken to the hospital.

Baldwin, 51, was examined at Lenox Hill Hospital, where he remained for more than an hour before being released, according to reports, which describes the status of his condition as unclear.

Baldwin’s rep, Matthew Hiltzik, gave E! News, a vague head scratching statement saying:

“‘This was a misunderstanding on one person’s part,”. “Alec was quickly released from the hospital, he’s completely fine and will be at work today.”

I am totally guessing but I will bet Alec took a sleeping pill and when Ireland couldn’t wake him she freaked?  Or something of that nature.

Baldwin is due to co-host the 2010 Academy Awards with Steve Martin on March 7.
