Duggar Family grateful for every moment they have with their new daughter
(HMG) – Jim Bob, 44, and Michelle Duggar, 43, (parents of 18 other children) has finally  revealed to the world, via People magazine, tiny seven-week-old preemie Josie Brooklyn, who is still very “day-to-day.”
Born at 25 weeks after Michelle was diagnosed with preeclampsia, Josie now weighs 2 lbs. 3 oz., up from her birth weight of 1 lb. 6 oz. on Dec. 10, and is being fed breast milk through a tube. She remains in intensive care at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock, Ark.
“Years ago, a baby this small wouldn’t have lived an hour,” says Jim Bob, 44. “We are so grateful for the ability to help her.”
Josie’s arrival will be showcased in 19 Kids and Counting: Special Duggar Delivery, airing Jan. 31 on TLC, and a new season of their show will debut in February, according to People.

maybe this is God’s way of saying . . . Stop already with all these kids ! This woman’s body must be just plain ole’ worn out !!!

omg, talk about shutting your face! they do not use birth control and have said many times its all in gods hands. your very rude comment isnt only sayin that they are being careless, but that that little life isnt needed. that family supports its self… i pray that mom and baby are doing well, and getting stonger everyday. there is no greater pain then seeing your child in a helpless situation that you can not do anything about!

Please stop having babies! God has blessed you with strong heathy babies but your body is aging and I personally don’t think you are doing yourself or your family any favour on continuing having any more babies. I pray for your last addition but when your kids start having kids it is time to stop. God gave us intelligence and knowledge to practice birth control when needed. Please use his knowledge. Your children need you. Please use condoms. Please think of your kids. Please take care of yourself and your family.

I love this familiy and hate the way people are picking on them when they are dealing with a difficult situation. Some people don’t believe in birth control and I agree with them. I didn’t realize until after I had been using BC for years that it was actually like a very early abortion and I was destroying life. As an RN – advance practice – I found that against my ethical and moral beliefs. BC is also not as safe as people like to think. You’re probably as likely to have serious medical problems from BC (stroke, serious infections) as you are to develop pre-eclampsia. I had Pre e with my second baby and went on to have two more healthy pregnancies. She doesn’t need to take this as a sign from God to quit getting pregnant. If her health truly won’t support another another pregnancy that is another story and I am sure her obstretrician will tell her that. On the contrary, after baby 18 her OB was saying publicly on the show that Michelle was one of those women built for multiple pregnancies and was very healthy with no damage to her reproductive organs. Who would know better than her own doctor! Congratulations on your beautiful little bundle of enjoy and enjoy her without guilt. Millie
So every woman that experiences pre-eclampsia shouldn’t have kids? Complications happen during pregrancies. It doesn’t matter if it’s your 1st or 19th. My beliefs may be different than the Duggars but I respect them. I hope that the baby makes it, but there’s no doubt in my mind that she will be well loved.
maybe her body is telling her it is time to stop. her kids she has now need her, if she continues she is risking her life and her next child. it is a reality, maybe God is trying desperately to tell her.

I also started out loving the Duggar’s. They were so refreshing. I love many thing’s about this family. I am beginning to question the Duggar’s wisdom however and suspect their good intention’s may be askew’d.If it’s true Oprah had offered full scholarship’s to the older girl’s and it was denied. it fully dawned on me that had the girl’s accepted..Michelle Duggar’s entire system would have collasped. Michelle Duggar depend’s wholly on her daughter’s to raise,teach,clean,prepare meal’s,do laudry. There is something so wrong about the whole scene. I heard of an episode where one of the small children called an older sister ‘mommy’. Michelle Duggar furtively looked at the camera.To be more concerned ‘over appearance than the fact her little son didn’t call HER mommy, was confused who his mom was speak’s volume. I guess i feel a little angry that they could be comfortable with deception when they have made such an effort to live Godly lives. And to place such an absurd repsonsibility on one’s older daughter’s is just reckless and unkind and unloving. People stop watching these ppl.. Also producer’s for the tv show stated the duggar’s KNOW how to put on a SHOW. There is something rotten in the state of Denmark. The moral of story..NEVER EXPLOIT YOUR CHILDREN. To those who feel angry over anything said that didn’t put the Duggar’s in the most favorbale light..remember they are SELLING
their lifestyle..putting their children in front of the world ..calling on other’s to be discrimating I believe these ppl. are being less than honest. They follow a man called Bill Gothard..we are to be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ not Bill Gothard and if one look’s up this man’s teaching they will or should be greatly alarmed. Those in this movement get very insulted if any question’s this man’s teaching yet we are told to test the spirit’s.This man is producing many christian pharisee’s. I see his follower’s are clothed with spiritual ‘smugness’ and pride. On the other hand we are not to be critical of other’s but people i just see the lack of wisdom with the duggar’ and i am frightened for them.
