Rosie O’Donnell To Be Cast As Elizabeth Edwards?
(HMG) – In what is a rather…um, interesting casting choice, ‘Game Change’ Mark Halperin has said that he pictures Rosie O’Donnell as playing Elizabeth Edwards in the possible HBO special based on the bestselling political breakout hit.
Not only that, but he made a rather amusing suggestion for Sarah Palin’s character:
“Palin could play herself. It seems she’s willing to do almost anything for money. It would be great stunt-casting,” he joked.
‘Game Change’ is the newest bestseller based on the Obama/McCain election, and the fight up to it.
The book offers intense reenactments and in depth dialogue and conversation from behind the scenes, as given from an incredible 300 political operatives from the scene.
So far none of the information given has been disputed, and the book has been hailed as a fantastic look into what was a controversial, heated, and groundbreaking election for U.S. history.
Many of the characters in this real-life drama, which had been bought by HBO, do not come off well.
For example, Elizabeth Edwards is made out to be a shrill, difficult and arrogant woman.
The Clintons are made out to be out and out deceivers.
“Everybody in politics lies, but [the Clintons] do it with such ease it’s troubling,” David Geffen, who was once a loyal supporter of the Clintons, said.
